Our School
​The International School of Kungsholmen is a Candidate School* for the Primary Years and Middle Years Program. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School.
These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that the International School of Kungsholmen believes is important for our students.
*Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP). The language of instruction for the International School of Kungsholmen is solely in English and adheres to an international curriculum.
Our new school building officially opened in August 2022 and is located at Stadshagsvägen 7, Stockholm.

Our primary year students range from age 5 to 12 years old. The students work in thematic units and use concepts to create connections across subject areas.

Our middle year students range from age 13 to 16 years old. The students work in a variety of challenging subject areas to best prepare them to move on to gymnasium.
Our school offers an after school care club for students from our Early Years program all the way through PYP 4. The students engage in a variety of creative, educational, and social activities.
